Agreed that Fb can be a bit of a novelty. I find it useful in keeping touch with people that I pretty much wouldn't keep in touch with otherwise. The peeps that I do keep regular contact with don't get any messages from me via facebook. Besides, I like to keep a copy of my interactions. If facebook ever goes down, so too does all my fb emails. Hmmm.

By the by, that message you received is most definitely hoax material. Companies like Facebook, Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. can soooo easily keep track of their users movements (and don't think they don't) that needing to send a manual email (especially a typo-ridden one personally signed by the MD!) to see whether people are active or not is so redundant as to be laughable. Ha ha. Ha.
Besides, ::no:: community site that needs members to generate revenue is ever going to boot anyone off after 2 weeks. 3-6 months, maybe.
Plus, if they really need to speed up database space, they can just trash all your old wall posts. Really, does anybody really need those thousand odd posts sent a year ago?

So, don't bother forwarding it to your facebook friends. It's a waste of time, database space, server usage and brain cells.

Although, if more of this start showing up on facebook, I mite just stop using it altogether. At least I can better manage the crud that gets sent to my email addie.....

Cheers.
